The world of the Fomorians threatens to consume the world of the Divinities. In this side-scroller platformer, you play as an entity that will have to explore those two worlds in order to restore the balance them. You will have to use ingenuity to travel between the worlds in the most peculiar of ways: by figuring out how to die.

Production :
This game was created by a class of Game Design students with the help of a class of 3D & VFX Animation students as an end of studies project.We also had the help of Sound Designer, a composer and a UI Designer. This game is the result of more than a year of work that began in May 2022 and ended in June 2023.
Awakened from a long sleep, you find yourself lost in a world in conflict threatened by Imbalance. Lug, God of Divinities, gives you the mission to restore control of their world over that of the Formoris. However, your name and past are lost… Go on an adventure and pass between parallel worlds to reactivate the Divine Links to restore balance and discover who you really are.
Gameplay
The movements :
The basics :
The character being agile, his movements are quite dynamic. It can move left and right and reach its top speed immediately.
The jump :
The jump is fast and nervous. The character falls to the ground when the jump key is released or when the maximum jump height is reached. This allows to have a so-called modular jump and to offer more precision to the player.
The power ups :
During the adventure, 3 power ups will be obtained:
The double jump, allowing the player to perform a second jump in the air after a first jump. This double jump is also modular.
The wall jump, allowing the player to take down a wall, slide on it, then jump in the opposite direction to the wall.
The rush, which allows the player to propel himself in all directions to reach areas too high or narrow passage.
The disincarnation :
In order to venture and advance in his adventure, the player will have to find a way to « kill » his character. This « death » is called Disincarnation allows the player to change the plan, and the past of the Divine world to the Formori world.
This will have the effect of changing the environment in which the character is found. Walls will appear or disappear, platforms are created, the behaviour of certain elements of the game changes, etc. The Disincarnation occurs when the character comes into contact with a game element. For example, by getting touch with thorns, the player will end up disincarnating. And the behavior of the thorns will change, they now slow down the character when he walks in it.
The character cannot remain indefinitely in the world of the Formoris.The moment the character arrives in this world, a chronometer is activated. When this stopwatch reaches zero, the character is automatically reincarnated in the world of the divines with a menhir, a predefined checkpoint, and must again disincarnate to try the challenge again.
